Released in the UK in May 1963 (and not 1962 as advertised elsewhere) this original first release quad poster for To Kill A mockingbird focuses on the movies recent Academy Awards success with Gregory Peck winning the Oscar for Best Actor at the 35th Academy Awards in April 1963, the poster has a jaunty air to it which belies the serious nature of the film.
This poster is in great original condition as it was put in to storage rolled back in 1963 when the collector worked at their local cinema, therefore it has minimal handling wear
Now recognised as one of the best films ever made and voted by the BFI in 2020 as one of the top 50 films to see before the age 15 its endurance is testament to not only the great cast and crew but the original Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Harper Lee
